Welcome back to school. With the onset of school begins the next season of mock trial. Registration for our team will be due to the State Bar of Georgia by October 1, 2019. And, our team will start practice on September 11, 2019 after school at 3:15-5:00 p.m.
Our initial interest meeting is September 4, 2019, during BLUE club meeting time in Mr. Bellamy’s room E14 and, alternatively, that same day after school at 3:15-3:45 p.m.. At this meeting, we will begin to form the team, pay $10 dues, plan our schedule, and provide training materials.
This year’s case will be a CRIMINAL trial, and students will learn much about the trial process and the burden of proof required prosecution of a crime. The Georgia Bar will release the case packet with more details about the case on October 9, 2019.

You may get started NOW! Join the TCCHS mock trial team by providing your information to Mr. Bellamy or registering online. Come to our first meeting on September 4. Also, don’t forget to join the mock trial club (blue).
Our Regional Competition will take place on Saturday, February 1, 2019. I look forward to our team advancing from there. Our District Competition will be in late February 2019 if we qualify. If we do not progress beyond the region, Coach Bellamy may offer students who have demonstrated passion and commitment to improvement an opportunity to participate in a spring invitational mock trial event.
